Named from the Spanish Punta de Tiburon (Shark Point), this historic railroad town is reminiscent of a quaint New England fishing village. Located just north of the San Francisco Golden Gate Bridge in sunny Marin County, it's a short 18-mile trip by car or a delightful six miles across the San Francisco Bay on the Blue & Gold Ferry. From here it's a short ferry ride to Angel Island State Park aboard the Angel Island Tiburon Ferry where you can tour the newly re-opened Angel Island Immigration Station
